Merry Christmas!

I know it's late in the day on Christmas, or for some people, Christmas has already passed, but I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and share some pictures. This isn't exactly an outfit post but more of a "look how cute my dogs are" post. Anyway... These two pups are Bubba and Ruby, two bloodhounds that my family adopted through an animal rescue over two years ago. I spent Christmas this year with just my mom, dad and sister (and of course my five dogs...), so it was nice but very low key.

I hope you all had a great holiday!

Super Casual

I rarely wear shorts, and to have worn them so many times in such a short time period is very rare for me.  The reason I wore shorts here is because I was walking yet another one of my family's crazy dogs, Bubba.  He is a super sweet bloodhound that my family adopted just over a year ago, and seeing that he is partially trained for search and rescue, he goes crazy following scents on walks; hence the shorts and comfy shoes.
 It's love
He really is such a well behaved dog, but on walks he goes crazy seeing that he is a scent hound, so we walk him using a horse lead, haha!

This isn't exactly the most glamorous outfit or photos, but hey, sometimes you need to change your outfits slightly to make them more practical to your lifestyle.

Don't forget, there's one more dog for you to meet!

Sweet Sammi

You have already met two of my family's three basset hounds, Newton, and Lola... and now, you get to meet the third, my best bud, Sammi.  When we adopted her she was pretty much a neurotic dog.  She used to run around like crazy, and as an elementary school kid, I guess I pretty much attached to her because of her spunk.  Now, Sammi is much older, as am I, and she still is the same sweet dog with a spring in her step.
The blouse, and the top(slip dress) worn under it were bought fairly cheap at Macy's.  It's quite great to walk in, go to the sale rack, and see previously expensive pieces for reasonable prices.  You really just need to see what the sales are at your local store, and there are usually coupons in their circulars to help bring down the cost.  What can I say, I love Free People clothing, and I love sales.
You have now met my family's three basset hound... But wait, that's not all of them... There are two more sweet dogs for you to meet (Yes, I'm a crazy dog lady).

Sir Isaac Newton

Today I decided to wear an extremely impractical outfit to go out with my mom and one of our five beloved dogs, Newton (yes, named after Sir Isaac,) who is quite a handsome basset hound.  Dogs make the best friends (they won't tell your secrets), and I like to call this handsome dog my main man/boyfriend, seeing that I lack one in the human form.  I have to say it again: Isn't he so handsome?
The dress and trench coat in these photos were both thrifted at a cute thrift store in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.  I had never seen the shop before, even though I pass the street every single time I visit the city.  The day that I finally noticed the store, I walk in only to see a sign stating that the store is closing.  Although the fact that the store has since closed is disappointing, the closing sign also stated something very nice: "50% entire store."  Yes, I'm a cheapster; I take absolutely any deal I can get, and if that means a deeper discount for an already cheap thrift store item, I will not complain.  The dress and trench coat are a matching set, and as you can see in one of the below photos, the trench jacket's lining matches that of the dress.  I paid all of $5 for the handmade, vintage set.  I'd call that a really good deal!
I apologize for the excess of photos, but I could not resist adding a few extras to showcase Newton!
